Rules and Etiquette

Please read the posted server rules!
It has come to my attention that quite a few people on the StepMania Online server have been doing things that are fairly irritating to other users. Since this is the case, I felt that it was necessary to post a guideline of rules and proper behavior when engaging with the community in this server.

Please review this post on the forums here. If you use this server from now on, you agree to abide by these rules, and try your best to follow basic server etiquette. Being in constant violation of these fairly simple rules will result in punishment given at the discretion of the moderator or administrator handling the situation. Since the rules are now readily available to see on the forums and here on the front page, there will be no excuse for not knowing them.

If you feel something that should be listed isn't, or you have any questions or concerns about a given rule, feel free to reply to the thread.

SMOpack Season 1
To commemorate the launch of the new official StepmaniaOnline website and server, we are launching an official SMOpack. Over the next few months we will be accepting simfiles for judging. We are working towards creating a more competitive smo and will be selecting simfile packs to be a part of the ranking of players. This pack will be part of the ranking once completed.

To submit a file email it to "" with your username.

Corruption issues should be gone. The DB corruption was getting very bad. We tested the server a bit but there could be some instability during the next few days.
Sqlite to MySQL Migration

Database Migration
Due to unforeseen issues with sqlite we are working on migrating the website and client to MySQL. The frontend has already been converted to MySQL queries, but the backend client still needs to be updated.

We hope that this new implementation will create a more stable database. We apologize for the previous inconvenience of lost scores and we do not expect any loss of data in this migration.
