I think this would be useful for informing new users about general questions about stepmania online. The "How to Play" link is nice but, more generic questions/answers should go on this page. Maybe, this will help reduce the single/individual song download question and others if any. You could probably even branch off to terminology and such.

I like the idea of an FAQ page people asking questions can be directed to, I could make a thread sometime soon with basic questions about the game and site. I don't have the power to add it to a sidebar or anything, but I could make a front page post about it at least.

It certainly won't reduce the questions about single songs however, I've had a front page post explaining about that for months now it's done absolutely nothing to stop that. Even when the post was just to the left of the chat, like when they just had to look at the center of their monitors to see the answer to the question they just asked. Now they have to scroll once or twice to see the info, so all hope is lost.

As a complete beginner with the game, I really like the idea of a general FAQ. The basic rules are easy to understand, but finding and downloading simfiles as well as connections between my game program and this server still confuse me sometimes.

If you end up starting a FAQ thread I'll likely contribute or format it a little bit of need be. Assuming it turns out well I'll add it to the front page navigation. I'll probably just replace the "How to play" link there.
